The upcoming American Idol Season 11 next year (2012) sounds exciting. Not only that the 3 lame judges were back in the panel, and Jennifer Lopez taking home a whooping $20 million dollar deal this time around, but also Nigel Lythgoe making a scene of his own. In his recent interview conducted by TV Line, American Idol producer, Nigel Lythgoe, said that he is not a fan of the ‘Save’ option in American Idol. I for one think that ‘The Save’ option is stupid and unfair and might anger other contestants (no matter how they fake it on TV like not getting upset, etc). More things coming from Nigel below…
American Idol Season 11 (2012): According to Nigel Lythgoe, they will limit the voting and will expand the power of Judges
Lee Dewyze Refused To Present American Idol Trophy to Scotty McCreery (American Idol Season 10)
Yeah, I remember when we’re on a live blogging mode, we’ve seen Lee DeWyze peering over Ryan Seacrest’s shoulder and think that’s just normal. Well, honestly, we’ve no idea what the hell’s going on but to my surprise that already mean something! Anyways, after the show, it was reported that American Idol producer, Nigel Lythgoe, is upset because Lee DeWyze didn’t hand in the trophy to the newly crowned American Idol, Scotty McCreery. As for me, I think Scotty gave the trophy to James Durbin – how’s that sound, lol! So now, we’re having this little commotion and Nigel tweeted that he’s simply SO UPSET TO LEE DEWYZE. Nigel also mentioned that ‘maybe’ Lee’s shy. Ok, we all know that Lee is really shy (that’s why he won), but maybe he’s also upset because he’s just down there sitting and peering over Seacrest’s shoulder. Maybe (again) Lee want to perform a ‘Beautiful Day’ on that stage before presenting the trophy to Scotty.
American Idol judges may intervene on the results if they don’t like what they’re seeing in the bottom three
American Idol producer, Nigel Lythgoe, is telling the press that American Idol Judges might be able to intervene and select which of the bottom three singers heads home and who stays. After the shocking Elimination last 7th of April 2011 where Pia Toscano was eliminated, changing the rules might be applied and this is what Nigel said: “Maybe if we change the rules next season, maybe do the same thing we do on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’….so that America votes for the bottom three, and then the judges decide who goes home….I think that will be thought about.” The audience vote for their favorites, but the best singer remains in the show. That’s why we’re having these judges to do something and not just sit there and do nothing but compliment the eliminated contestant. Good idea, but it might be too late for this season alone, lol…
